"Based on more than 1 billion reviews and opinions on our site today, Tripadvisor's Travelers' Choice Awards¹ reflect the global travel community's favorites—from destinations themselves to everything that makes them special, including restaurants, hotels and experiences," commented Kristen Dalton, President of Tripadvisor.²

We’ve gathered their lists to give you some ideas before you plan your next getaway. Starting out, we have the top-rated and trending destination hot spots for 2025.

What's the Deal with Downward Dog?

Even if you’ve never set foot on a yoga mat, you’ve probably heard of one of the most popular poses called Downward Dog. 

The pose is popular because it has many benefits, such as increased flexibility and spinal strength. In yoga, it’s a resting posture to let your muscles lengthen and straighten. It can help stretch your back, neck, hamstrings, and calves. You can sit in the pose without moving (a static hold) or “walk the dog,” which includes pushing your heels toward the ground to stretch out your calves. 

If you’re new to Downward Dog, practice proper form by bending your knees and focusing on lengthening your back and arms. Ideally, your body should be in an inverted “V” shape. Eventually, you may straighten your legs and have your heels touch the floor!

Sunny Side "Down"

A hot topic among consumers right now is the price of eggs. Avian bird flu—and the subsequent culling of millions of chickens—was primarily to blame for prices rising 15 percent in January and another 10 percent in February. While recent evidence suggests prices have dropped, the cost of eggs remains a sticky issue—even though prices of many other items have risen just as much, if not more.^5,6 

So why do consumers appear to be overly uneasy?

One theory is that eggs symbolize something more significant. Not only are eggs a critical, inexpensive source of protein and nutrients for millions of consumers, but they are also a core part of many other foods made at home or mass-produced. For that reason, eggs are a mental proxy for how consumers believe the broader economy is doing.⁷

Once prices stabilize, we can shift our focus away from the cost of eggs and start looking at the broader picture of economic recovery.
